CPRAM Board Members

Jeanna Graves
Jeanna Graves, President
Jeanna served as president of the College Public Relations Association of Mississippi in 2000-01, and was recognized at the May 2004 conference for her service to CPRAM. She has been published in two international academic magazines and has had photos exhibited in several national theatre related publications and at the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. as part of theatre students’ Barbizon design work. A William Carey College graduate with a BA in communication, she designed costumes for Hansel and Gretel and was honored as the Serampore Players’ Most Valuable Member in 1994. In 2004 Jeanna was awarded the Internal Revenue Service Volunteer Award, and the City of Hattiesburg Mayor’s Financial Education Initiative Appreciation Award. She is administrative assistant for the Office for Advancement at William Carey University and was named by the Student Government Association as Carey’s staff member of the year in 2002.
Natalie Davis
Natalie Davis, Vice-President
Natalie Davis has been a member of CPRAM since 2000. She currently serves as Director of Public Information and Sports Information at Copiah-Lincoln Community College in Wesson. For the past nine years, she has been the advisor for the award-winning campus newspaper, The Wolf Tales and the journalism instructor. In 2008, she will retire from her teaching duties and become the advisor for the Trillium yearbook. Prior to joining the Co-Lin staff in 1999, she was employed for 15 years at The Daily Leader in Brookhaven. Davis has been honored with numerous awards from the Mississippi Press Association, CPRAM and the National Council for Marketing and Public Relations (NCMPR). She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Mississippi. Davis and her husband, Stephen, reside in Brookhaven. They are the parents of two children, Leah, a graduate student at the University of Alabama Birmingham and Paul, a junior at Arkansas State University.
Maria McLeod
Maria McLeod, Secretary
Maria McLeod has been a member of CPRAM for 10 years and currently serves as Board Secretary. Since 1997, she has served as Assistant to the Vice President for Public Information at East Central Community College in Decatur. Prior to joining the ECCC staff, she was employed at The Neshoba Democrat, a weekly newspaper in Philadelphia, MS. She received her bachelor’s degree in Communications/Public Relations from Mississippi College and completed her associate’s degree at East Central Community College. She and her husband, Joey, have two sons, Collin, 7, and Grant, 5.

Steve Diffey
Steve Diffey, Past President
Steve Diffey is the District Director of Communications and Director of Alumni Affairs at Holmes Community College. He came to Holmes in 1998 as the assistant director of the school’s foundation and alumni. He became executive director of both office in 1999 and remained in that position until 2002 when he joined the public information office as the assistant director. He became director of the office in 2004. Before coming to Holmes, Diffey worked in the newspaper business for five years – two in Winona at the Winona Times and three in McComb at the Enterprise-Journal. He holds an associate of arts degree from Holmes Community College, a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The University of Mississippi and a master’s degree in educational leadership from Mississippi State University. He is married to the former Dayle Dillon of Lexington, and they have two children, Tyler, 8, and Anna, 5.
Nancy Patterson
Nancy Patterson, Board Member
Nancy Patterson has been a member of CPRAM since 1988 when she joined Northwest Mississippi Community College's Public Relations staff. Prior to that, she managed the college's NPR-affiliated public radio station. Before coming to work for the college in 1978, she worked in small-market radio in Holly Springs, Hernando and Greenwood. She has served as adviser for the college's student publications—the yearbook and newspaper. In the past eight years, the Rocketeer yearbook has placed first in state competition six times and earned two second-place awards. Over the years she has collected awards for feature writing, photography, ad campaigns and publications. As the college's director of Public Relations, she chairs the college's district-wide Marketing Committee. Professional organizations include: Mississippi Community/Junior College Press Association, Mississippi Press Association and Southern Public Relations Federation. Patterson has been an lifelong equestrienne, but gave up the hobby in 2004 to return to college. She served on the board of the Mid-South Quarter Horse Association and was a volunteer 4-H Horse Club leader for 10 years. She and her husband, Howard, live on family land in Barr. Miss., near Senatobia. They are the parents of three adult children—Jason Gibert of Memphis; Hayley Patterson Hayes of Senatobia; and Olivia Patterson, a senior at the University of Mississippi. They have four grandchildren.

Richard Kopp
Richard Kopp, Past President
Rich Kopp started teaching himself photography in 1982.  He has taught himself to use 35mm, medium-format and 4X5 cameras, and studio lighting systems.
During the last few years, through reading, practice and experimentation, he has taught himself to use a Nikon D1x and the D70 digital systems.  Since that time, he has shot photos in most areas of photography, from aerials to weddings to car shows.
Rich is retired Air Force and spent the last seven years of his military career in the 1st Combat Camera Squadron shooting video and stills for Central Command in Tampa Fla.
After two and a half years with WLOX as a news and sports photographer, Rich was hired by Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College as the district photographer.  At the college, he shoots most events and also does portraits, sports and even landscapes of the campuses for advertising and all publications.  He also shoots video of various events to use in video projects and commercials for the college and is the lead videographer for college's participation in the Veterans History Project.
Rich teaches non-credit classes in fundamentals of photography as part of the college’s Community Campus Continuing Education program.  He also volunteers his expertise as camera operator at the First Baptist Church of Biloxi for the Sunday-morning 11 a.m. service, which is broadcast on local ABC affiliate WLOX –TV.
